Italian music, our 4th event! 2021
feb 20th, AT 7pm. Andrea Scasso, host of the Italian Hour on KBOO radio, will talk and present some contemporary popular Italian music, starting from the Neapolitan tradition of the Festa di Piedigrotta, the Music Festival of San Remo of the '50s all the way to today.
Our third virtual event! 2020
The Portland Opera and Italian Christmas Music. December 12th.
our first live virtual event from italy was on September 19, 2020:
Guest speaker: Mario Dodici, Co-op President, live from Italy. A former Portland resident and U.S. citizen, Mario returned to his homeland and was elected President of the local co-op. For the past seven years, they have been reclaiming abandoned olive groves giving hope to local farmers. For the past three years, their olive oil has won prizes throughout the region.
